Small Claims

  • Landlord/Tenant Disputes: This includes evictions, nonpayment of rent, and other conflicts between landlords and tenants.
  • Small Claims: Cases where the amount of damages is up to $8,000, such as auto negligence, contract disputes, and debt claims.

    The goal of mediation is to facilitate communication between parties, enabling them to create mutually agreeable solutions.  

Arbitration: A Private Alternative to Court

While mediation focuses on collaboration, Arbitration is a more formal process where an impartial third party hears both sides and makes a final, legally binding decision. Think of it as a private "bench trial"—it offers the structure and finality of court, but in a confidential, faster, and more relaxed setting.
